Qasim Baig MD

Dr. Baig is a passionate and detail-oriented internist. He finished his Internal Medicine residency from James J. Peters VA Medical Center in affiliation with New York University where he also served in the capacity of Chief Medical Resident. After completion of his residency he worked in AZ before moving to Pacific Northwest where he resides and practices now since 2008.

Dr. Baig is certified by American Board of Internal Medicine and has been affiliated with Providence health system in Olympia, WA and more recently with Multicare Hospital system in Tacoma, WA and spent most of his career taking care of critically ill hospitalized and post acute care patients. This extensive work in the hospital and post hospital setting has triggered an immense desire in him to focus on preventative health i.e., keeping his patients (especially with chronic medical problems like Diabetes, Hypertension, Obesity, Asthma, COPD, Congestive heart failure, CKD, Dementia and others) healthy and away from the hospital. He believes that healthcare has to follow patients and not the other way around and by using robust modern technology tools like telemedicine and enhanced data communication platforms between patients/caregivers and healthcare providers, this goal, no matter how hard it is, is possible to achieve.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Baig’s other passion is to create technology solutions for patients and healthcare providers. He enjoys playing squash, watching movies, spending time with his kids and growing tropical plants.
